New Library coming to Charlotte County

Public Workshop on Jan. 14 for the South County Library
 
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Jan. 6, 2016) - A Public Workshop will be held Jan. 14, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center, Myakka River Meeting Rooms AB to discuss design of the new South County Library.
 
Harvard Jolly Architecture will lead the workshop:
  • Present the building programming information (preliminary space needs)
  • Display the site aerial, boundaries, and limitations, with a diagram of the proposed building location on the site
  • Solicit ideas from the public regarding desired library features, amenities, and aesthetics
 
The South County Library is a 2014 Local Option Sales Tax project.
